I’ve loved this quote for almost four decades now and it has informed my practice for many years. Mind demands certainty and answers and it is certainly suffering not to have them. And yet, we can never be certain. The truth of our experience is provisional, not absolute, and always subject to new information.

In my experience, the practice has worked just this way: If I can accept the questions, one day I notice that I have lived “into the answers.”
