Santikaro Unable to Make Oct 22 Day of Mindfulness

Wisconsin-based teacher Santikaro will be unable to make the Oct 22nd day of mindfulness sponsored by Lakeside Vipassana due to complications from his recent illness. Our thoughts go towards his speedy recovery.

The day of mindfulness will proceed as scheduled this Saturday, and a Dhamma talk will be played that Santikaro has recorded for the occasion.

Announcing Oct 22 Day of Mindfulness with Santikaro

Insight Chicago is pleased to announce a day of mindfulness with our friend and teacher Santikaro on October 22nd. The event will be held at Anderson Hall at Fourth Presbyterian Church on Chestnut St. and Michigan Ave from 10 am to 3 pm. Please bring your cushions, although chairs will be provided for those who cannot sit. There is a suggested donation of $20 to cover the costs of for the space. Lakefront Walk for Santikaro, July 10th

Join Insight Chicago for A Lakefront Walk In Support of our Friend and Teacher Santikaro. It will be a great chance to meet fellow Insight Chicago sangha members, enjoy the beautiful Chicago lakefront, and raise funds to help Santikaro and his family. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Update: The date of the walk has been changed to July 10th.

Sunday, July 10 @ 10 a.m.

Meeting place: Lincoln Park area (parking available)

Walk route: North or South from North Pond

Bhikkhu Dhammagawesi visits A Single Thread May 5th

Bhikkhu Dhammagawesi’s visit to our friends at A Single Thread in Evanston has been rescheduled. He will be teaching Thursday, May 5th, not May 8th. There will be sitting from 6pm to 7pm. Bikkhu Dhammagawesi will speak and answer questions from 7pm to 9pm. Tea will be served at the beginning of his talk.
